WAAAH I TOTALLY FORGOT

rags on rags: How To Wear All Black !!

Posted this about a week ago, and of course, it completely slipped my mind to update you guys! Sorry! You know the drill. Follow me on Tumblr, Twitter, and Instagram for better updates!

Snapback - eBay
Mirrored tee - Forever 21
Waxed jeans - H&M
Clutch - Mom
Wedges - States

Sooooo in love with this mirrored tee...as well as this snapback. Definitely worth 3 weeks of waiting, haha. The brim is faux snakeskin, which makes it so much more interesting! So I guess I'll update you guys on my style for the upcoming season. Or seasons? Who knows.

I've been really into incorporating a lot of black into each outfit, and if not, then toning down on the prints and colours. I guess it prompts me to become more creative when I pick out an outfit, as all black (to me) is only interesting when leathers, knits, silhouettes, etc. are put together, and not just basic materials. Aside from black, I've remained dedicated to my beloved burgundy shades, grey, and white. Keepin' it pretty simple this time around. I know that words aren't much to inform you on how I've transitioned into Fall season, but hopefully through the "rags on rags" videos and my photos here and there, you'll see!

RAGS ON RAGS: YOUTUBE STYLE VLOG!!

So about a week ago, my friend and I finally got to filming our very first style vlog for our YouTube channel, @ragsonragstv!! One of the reasons why we decided to start making videos, other than the obvious fun that comes along with galavanting all over our city like idiots (ha ha ha...), is because we wanted to add diversity to the style vlogging community. We felt like there were a lot of videos/channels that focused on certain styles (leaning towards the girly side of things), but not many videos that showed a more street style/vintage aesthetic. Personally, I have a few favourite channels on YouTube that do actually showcase similar styles to us, but many are just quick "outfit of the day" videos filmed on webcam, or not as put-together because they put more emphasis on the pictures which they post on their blogs/Tumblrs/etc. Which we totally love, but we figured that if we just put out well-made videos once in a while, as opposed to a bunch of photos that may or may not blow up on platforms such as Tumblr, then we might just have a better chance of inspiring!

As well, we wanted to show our viewers the city of Vancouver, as well as other surrounding areas, and the adventures we have while filming! Not only do we aim to put Vancouver on the spot for its beautiful scenery-city mashup, but show that the city does indeed have some style heads (not just us, as we plan to feature our friends and random stylish people around the area, too)...if you take a good look. Anyways, our links are posted in the downbar of the video, as well as a few pictures that we took throughout the day on my photography blog (www.kamclicks.tumblr.com). COMMENT, RATE SUBSCRIBE, AND SHARE! Peace and love.

Wore this outfit to go to Thierry in downtown! It was my first time, and it was wonderful.

Head chain - Blim market (a pop-up market set up on Granville street [one of Vancouver's main shopping streets] as part of the city's summer events)
Sunglasses - Blim market
Leopard tank - Insight (bought from El Kartel)
Levi's high-waisted shorts - Urban Outfitters
Leather pouch - Mom
Combat boots

I know I'm pretty much off my blog and I've informed y'all to follow me on my other social networks (I'll post the link below), but I guess I'll blog a bit about my day yesterday! So after a 7 hour shift, I decided to have a really, really good day to myself by enjoying my beloved city. Strolled through Granville for the most part/the pop-up market that I mentioned earlier, made a few friends with dope people running their booths (as well as at a few stores that I love), then made my way to Gastown and enjoyed a delicious chicken falafel. I really wish I had my camera at the time, but it was just one of those spontaneous days. Although I didn't expect to buy the head chain, the sunglasses, and the leopard tank all featured in the second outift, they were all absolutely worth it. Not just for style, but because I got to support local artists/fashionistas/vintage lovers/creative people. I absolutely love meeting people who are passionate about what they do. The night before, I met a dope graffiti artist who was selling his paintings along the same street. I think the past few days have gotten me reinspired to really fall back in love with everything that I love. Not sure what my next projects will be, but I really love this whole documenting thing. Stay tuned.
